About Us
We are the Pennine Owners club, the only club exclusively for the owners of Pennine Folding Campers, and since 2009 for owners of folding campers carrying the Pennine Leisure Group manufactured since 2009. We have members across the country who enjoy the opportunity to meet. The club was founded in 1994 with the support of the manufacturer, but remains totally independant.

The club sets out to provide a family friendly series of events throughout the camping season. To this end the club chooses sites which provide suitable facilities for you and your family to enjoy camping with us. The club is relatively small with numbers generally varying between 150 and 250 members over the past few years, enabling many people to become good long term friends.

There are approximately ten weekend meets over the season, and a main holiday meet during the school holidays. We aim to provide a wide spread of these meets to enable all members to attend a number of meets within reasonable travelling distance from home. In 2010 meets have been held in Lincolnshire, Cleveland, Dorset, Wales, Worcestershire, Cambridge, Cheshire, Devon, Berkshire and Derbyshire. In the past we have held summer meets abroad in Holland, Germany and France.

There is also a winter meet in a hotel in January, a dinner dance, overnight stay and breakfast to enable members to get together during that quiet spell after Christmas while we all await the start of the new camping season.

The club uses its buying power to get better rates for sites that when you book individually, and most meets will be 15 to 25 units. The Sites Officer seeks out sites that are better able accept bookings for this number of units. As the club is always looking for new sites to use, recommendations from members of sites they have used are welcomed.

Meets are organised, but not highly organised on site. A volunteer steward is required for each meet, and there is always a need for more volunteers. We recognise that weekends are precious family time and the meet is an opportunity to spend some time with like minded people. Stewards may arrange quizzes, competitions, and normally there is a “coffee morning” where everyone gathers together to chat and enjoy the company.

We issue a quarterly magazine, Pennine Ways, currently printed and posted, but are looking to make this on line, with a paper copy for those who are not into computers.

The club is run by a small committee of volunteers who work closely together to ensure the club runs smoothly and that meets are well organised, publicised and managed on site. The Committee meets three times a year, one meeting of which is the Annual General Meeting, AGM, currently held at Lickhill Manor in Stourport on Severn.
